MCP

Programmatic access via the Model Context Protocol.

Summand runs a hosted MCP server. Any MCP client (claude.ai, ChatGPT, or your own) can connect and work with your datasets, computed components and surprise findings. Reading works as soon as you connect. Tools that change things, like creating a view or sharing a dataset, need write access granted separately.

MCP is the supported way in today. A documented REST API is planned; if you need one sooner, email enterprise@summand.com with a paragraph on what you’d build.
